From Our Family To The World.

Royal Ceylon is a story shaped by a father with a passion for pure Ceylon tea, and a daughter who reimagined its place in the world. Together, they transformed a family passion into a luxury tea house that celebrates the heritage, craftsmanship, and elegant legacy of Ceylon.

The story begins with Lionel, who grew up amongst the misty tea plantations of Sri Lanka. His unconventional yet enriching upbringing fostered a deep appreciation for the purity of nature’s offerings. As the world shifted toward mass-market teas, Lionel recognized a profound gap, Sri Lanka’s finest leaves were being undervalued and lost in the shadows of low-grade options. Determined to restore dignity to the craft, he began sourcing pure, premium, high-quality teas for wholesale, quietly building a reputation for uncompromising quality.

Later, his daughter, Disara joined to elevate the brand, take it direct to consumer, and set new industry standards. Through her global exposure, refined upbringing, and training at the esteemed Ritz Paris Pastry School, she saw what the world had yet to experience - the true luxury of Sri Lanka’s rich heritage. Under her leadership, Royal Ceylon has evolved from a wholesale venture into an ultra-luxury tea house, one rooted in heritage, artistry, and tradition. It is a curated experience that champions the lost art of Ceylon tea and honors the timeless beauty of Sri Lankan heritage.
